Fed: Women's soccer part of review - Kemp
CANBERRA, Aug 27 AAP - Women's soccer would be included in a review of the sport, thefederal government said today.
A spokesman for Sport Minister Rod Kemp said the Australian Women's Soccer Association(AWSA) would be part of the whole-of-sport review.
Opposition sport spokeswoman Kate Lundy has demanded the inquiry into soccer in Australiainvestigate the problems associated with the funding, management and selection of thewomen's soccer team, the Matildas.
She also called for an investigation into allegations players were duped into appearingtopless in a TV commercial.
